Shirley Davis

CONOVER - Shirley A. Davis, age 85, of Conover, OH passed peacefully at home and went to be with the Lord on November 9, 2021. Shirley was born on January 28, 1936 in Miamisburg, OH, a daughter of the late, Wesley and Lavena (Zechar) Penrod. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Robert E. Burns, son John D. Burns, brothers, Jack, Gene and Bob Penrod, and sister Eileen Wooldridge.

Shirley is survived by her second husband Eugene Davis, a sister Phyllis (Kenneth) Baldwin, daughters-in-law Jo Lynn (Jeffrey) Werling, and Lori (Sheldon) Goldstein, son-in-law Colin (Suzanne) Davis, her granddaughter Ashley E. Burns and a son Robert D. Burns. She is also survived by grandchildren, Amanda Jackson, John W. Burns, Greg Burns, David Burns, and Jacob Burns; great-grandchildren Lavyna Jackson, Karalyna Jackson, Shirlee Jackson, Rylan Burns and Breelan Burns as well as many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

Shirley was also a former member of the Olivet Chapter, Order of Eastern Star for 33 years. Shirley faithfully attended church, and enjoyed going to Christiansburg United Methodist Church and Bethel United Methodist Church. She retired from Hull Paper Company as a bookkeeper.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7 pm in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Fletcher, OH.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 13, 2020 in the funeral home with Reverend Bill Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, OH.
