PIQUA - Willard Brown, 79, of Piqua, passed away on March 19, 2026, at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.
He was born on August 20, 1946, in Scalf, Kentucky, to the late Lewis and Disa (Bingham) Brown.
Willard married the love of his life, Ruthann Mary Gaier, on November 16, 1968, at the Newport Ohio Church. A devoted husband and proud father, Willard always made sure his family were cared for and supported.
Willard retired after 34 years of dedicated service from Miami Industries/Copperweld. Outside of work, he found joy in simple pleasures, especially his love for classic cars and trucks. He also enjoyed spending time cutting firewood. Known for his friendly nature, Willard never met a stranger. He had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His kindness and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by loving wife Ruthann brown; Sons, Tony Brown, Steve (Mary) Brown, Jeff (Fiancé Heather Bayman) Brown; Grandchildren, Brittini (Ron Smith) Brown, Dr. Nicklaus (Alex) Brown, Thomas (Macy) Brown, Emily (Alex) Brewer, Jacob Brown, Aubrey and Lucy Younce; great grandchildren, Bailey Brown, Nolan Brown and Colten Brewer; siblings, Majorie Boggs, Shiree Young, Rodney (Darla) Brown, Timmy (Lisa) Brown.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Randall Brown, Clifford Brown, Helen Grubb, Bernice Wheeler, Raymond Brown, Ricky Brown, Lewis Brown Jr, Brenda Brown.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will follow in Fletcher cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.vernonfh.com.
