Anthony Bauman Obituary

Anthony Bauman
Anthony M. Bauman, 84, died January 11, 2025. He was born March 8, 1940 and raised in Royal Oak, Michigan by loving parents Dr. Anthony A. Bauman (Annice) alongside his older brother Richard and his younger brother, Paul. He attended Shrine High School and Detroit College of Engineering. While serving his country in the U.S. Army, he discovered his profession in becoming a Draftsman. Following his service, Anthony pursued a 35- year career with Rockwell International. He took pride in his work and was dedicated to a 20-year joint venture project in the aerospace defense contracting industry. He valued ingenuity, meticulous attention to detail, work ethic, and loyalty. Later on in his career, he served the company's purchasing operations division, specializing in capital and prototype equipment. From an early age, Anthony held a passion for the game of hockey and of course the Detroit Red Wings, attending games with his family at Olympia Arena. In the warmer months, it was the game of golf that held his attention; he relished the "Thursday night league". In his retirement years, he returned to Port Austin, Michigan where he spent his childhood summers at the lake cottage with his family. In the winter months he resided in Naples, Florida and enjoyed time on the beach. Above all, he prioritized his family and his faith. Not one to quit and a man of few words, may he be remembered by the phrase "never give up!".
Anthony was a loving spouse to Jean (deceased) for 30 years and is survived by his spouse, Barbara of 14 years, his brother Paul, his son Anthony, Barbra's children Kristen and Andrew along with grandchildren Jacob, Emily, Patricia, Guinivere, Jackson.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A military burial will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Friday, April 25th, followed by a celebration of life reception. Arrangements are being handled by the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde.

Larry & Barbara Passinese

January 31, 2025

Barbara, Tony Jr, We are so very sorry for your loss. Our heart and prayers are with you. We will never forget Tony, he was a wonderful person, he had a hearty laugh and a beautiful smile, we will miss sitting on the beach enjoying your company, getting excited when one of us found shells. He was such a kind and gentle person. I will treasure the little wooden sandpiper you gave to me, I keep it on my end table. Every time I see it I think of you Tony. You were one of the first people who embraced us when we moved into the condo. We spent a lot of time going out to eat with you alone and then with Barbara. I have so many memories of you, and I will never forget you. You will be in our memories forever. You will be missed. Love, Larry & Barbara
