He was born July 16, 1927, to the late William J. and Mary (Macey) Connors. He was united in marriage to Sophie Stiefel June 26, 1948 in Bad Axe.
Mr. Connors was a resident of Filion and a church member at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe. He served as Corporal in the United States Air Corps. He was employed with Thumb Oil and Gas for 10 years. In 1957, he purchased Connors Hardware managing it until his retirement in 1986. He loved deer hunting, playing cards, having coffee with friends, gardening, his cabin in Curran and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Sophie Connors, of Filion; two sons, Charles (Marge) Connors of Bad Axe and Donald Connors of Filion; one brother, David Connors of Filion; one sister, Katherine "Betty" Bastian of Ferndale; one granddaughter, Kelsey Connors of Bad Axe; two step grandchildren, Corinna (Michael) Adams of Bad Axe and Robert (Heidi) Miller of Saginaw; four great step-grandchildren, Kyle Adams, Travis Adams, Alexis Adams and Austin Adams, all of Bad Axe; two sisters-in-law, Luella Connors of Filion and Betty Jo Garner of Canton.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth Connors, Clifford Connors, William Connors and Glen Connors; one brother-in-law, Wilbur Bastian; and three sisters-in-law, Vera Connors, Florence Connors and Martha Connors.
A funeral service was conducted today, Monday, Aprl 30, 2007, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery. MacAlpine Funeral Chapel in Bad Axe handled the arrangements.

my grandpa was pretty much amazing. he will be missed dearly, he accomplished so much in life and meant so much to all of us. i will never forget him or all of the memories i have shared with him throughout my life. it is still hard to believe he is truely gone, but i will always love him and hopefully he will always be watching over me.
