Joan L. Warner
Joan L. Warner, age 87 of Ubly, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Joan was known for her deep abiding love of her family and her unquestioning faith. She always lived the motto "Never trouble, until trouble troubles you". She loved family, life and friends and Jesus was her number one priority.
Joan was born on April 17,1938 in Lincoln Park, Michigan, daughter of the late George and Anna (Sherman) Allore. She was the 12th child of 14. She is survived by her brothers Jim, Bernie and Tom and her sisters Agnes and Annette. She was preceded in death by her sisters Vera, Mary, Theresa, and Rose and her brothers George, Raymond, Francis and Joseph.
Joan was a 1956 graduate of St. Anne Catholic School, Detroit. Joan was a Detroit resident until relocating to the Thumb in 1974 until her passing. She was employed at Dott Manufacturing in Deckerville, MI from 1977 until her retirement in 2002. She was an independent Health Care provider from 2001-2010 when she REALLY retired.
Joan was an active member of Good Shephard Catholic Church (St. John Catholic Church) in Ubly since 1982. She was very involved with The Christian Mother's Group and Daughter's of Isabella, the choir and led the Rosary weekly.
She was married to Joseph Wojcik from 1956-1983. Joan was a proud mother to seven children: Monica Innes, Joseph (Tammy) Wojcik, Denise (Chad) Wolf, Daughter in Law Barb Drow (Mark-deceased), Teresa (David) McIntosh, Lisa (Jeff) Farley; preceded in death by Mark (2015) and Raymond (2025) Wojcik.
Joan is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was a Nana to all!
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Elizabeth Anne Igielski (Beth) in 2003, her son-in-law Frank Rottman in 2010, and her ex-husband Joseph W. Wojcik in 2016.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Parish – St. John's Catholic Church in Ubly. Interment will be in the church cemetery afterwards.
