Nancy Janik Obituary
Nancy Marie Janik 81 of Bad Axe, Mi went to heaven on 1/10/2024 at Covenant Cooper Hospital after a short illness.
Nancy was born on 06/13/1942 to the late Lester (George) & Helen (Hill) Greyerbiehl. Nancy married Henry Joseph Janik on 12/31/1960.
Nancy is a member of Saint Columbkille Catholic Church, she worked many years at Hamill (seat belt) Factory, IGA Foodliner, and McDonald's Food and Family Center. She was a very hard worker as a farmer's wife. She loved reading, putting puzzles together, gardening with her family, walking and shopping and having coffee with friends and especially with her sisters. She also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband Henry Joseph Janik, sons John Janik, Christopher Janik, Larry (Jill) Janik, Gregory (Irene) Janik. Her brothers Paul (Mary) Greyerbiehl, Doug (Tammy) Greyerbiehl, George (Mary) Greyerbiehl, sisters Brenda (Tom) Kreh, Theresa (Phil) Provot, and sister-in-law Beverly Greyerbiehl. Grandchildren Rachel, Samantha (Ethan) Sisco, Henry, Gary, Chantelle, Austin, and Jenna. Several nieces and nephews and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Michael, Patrick, brother-in-laws Raymond Leppek,and Edward Sweeney, sisters Shirley Leppek, Janet Sweeney, Patricia Grigg and daughter in law Tracy Janik.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 11 am at Good Shepherd Parish – St. Columbkille Catholic Church of Sheridan Corners. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 2 – 8 pm at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe or Wednesday at the church from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am. A rosary service will be offered on Tuesday at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
