William A. Bain
William A. Bain, 86, of Bay Port, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at Scheurer Hospital Long Term Care in Pigeon.
Bill was born March 7, 1935 in Detroit to the late John and Louise (Wyatt) Bain. He graduated from Melvindale High School in 1953 and then Eastern Michigan University, receiving his degree in Education. He married Carol Hanson on September 3, 1960 in Allen Park.
He retired as a History teacher in 1989 from Julian O. Strong Junior High School in Melvindale. After retiring he moved from Dearborn to Bay Port. He enjoyed golfing at Scenic Golf Course, playing cards, reading, and spending time with his family.
Bill is survived by his wife Carol; children David (Kelly) of Vermont, Scott (Kathleen) of Northville, and Mark (Casey) of Bath; grandchildren Caitlyn, Allyson, Laura, Michael (Dina), Kevin, Gabrielle, Sierra, and Savanna; and sister Janice Ligetti of Dearborn. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Matthew.
A private memorial service will be Saturday, March 27th at Bay Port United Methodist Church. Interment will be in New Bay Port Cemetery. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
