Marvin Brooks Obituary

MIDDLESBORO — Marvin Adam Brooks, 73, of Middlesboro, passed away Thursday, December 5, at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center.

He was born March 6, 1940 in Middlesboro, KY, the son of the late Alonzo and Maggie Kennedy Brooks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Aaron Brooks, grandson: Dillon Wren, great-grandson: Damien Wren, brother: Glen Brooks, sisters: Rachel Simpson and Clara Melton. He is survived by the following members of his family:

5 Children: Cathy (Sam) Mclean, Elvis Brooks, Jennifer (Jesse) Gibson, Melody (Nick) Brown and Chris Brooks.

Grandchildren: Junior Wren, Tyler Robinson, Nicholas Robinson, Angel Brooks, Ezekiel Stanley and Stephen Stanley.

6 Great grandchildren

2 Sisters: Irene Barnett and Peggy Branstutter

Special Friends: Lewis Sizemore, Mike Sizemore and Marvin Mink

And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Rains Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, at the Creech Funeral Home. Online condolences and guestbook are available at www.creechfh.com

Its hard to believe i wont be able to sit and hear all those stories about dillon and you playing your guitar,and all the songs you played for me!I'm just really glad you were able to see my little girl for the first time and i wish id been able to bring your lil dil too!we will miss you so much and me and the kids will always be thinking about you,we love you paps!!RIP

Marvin,you were more than just my Father N law you were mt friend,I stood by your side and held your hand and we prayed to the Lord and he heard you loud and he came and took you beyond the clouds,he took you home and made you new and I'm sure you have an awesome view.because of your faith and love you now have a seat by the Golden Throne.He restored your health and took your pain now you can walk and don't need that ole cane,now grab your guitar and strum a chord play it good for now you play for the Lord ,your chin is up and you will never be sad oh and by the way say Hi to my Dad...<3 Love you guys <3 Rest in peace<3
