Alan J. Kromish

1938 - 2013

Alan J. Kromish, 74, of Moodus, died Saturday, April 27th at Middlesex Hospital. Born May 11, 1938 in Middletown he was the son of the late John and Josephine (Bower) Kromish. Alan was a lifelong resident of Moodus and was active in the East Haddam Volunteer Fire Department and had been an East Haddam Police Officer. He had worked at White Oak Construction and was a member of the Teamsters Union. Alan proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean War. He was also a member of the American Legion Post in Moodus. He is survived by his son, Alan Kromish and his fiancée, Kristin Solis of Moodus, a brother, John Kromish and his wife, Theresa of Naples FL, a sister, Regina Wilson and her husband, Don of Naples FL, his grandchildren, Miranda and Adriana Kromish and Monica Kauffman. He is also survived by his son Alan's, half sister Kellie Gosselin and her husband, Jeff. Funeral procession will leave the Spencer Funeral Home, 112 Main Street, East Hampton on Saturday morning May 4th at 10:15 AM followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 11AM in St. Bridget Church in Moodus. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery in Moodus. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 8:30 AM until 10:15 AM.
