Alfredo Pizzuto Obituary
October 27, 1935 - June 10, 2023
Alfredo Pizzuto, 87, passed away on June 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 27, 1935 in Melilli, Sicily. He immigrated to America and Alfredo worked at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft for 32 years.
He played saxophone and clarinet, and was the leader of an Italian-American band (The Diamond Six).
Alfredo is survived by his beloved wife, Josephine Pizzuto of 64 years. His son Antonio Pizzuto and daughter-in-law Emanuela, his daughter Maria "Tina" Ververis and son-in-law Harry, his son Salvatore Pizzuto and daughter-in-law Gladibel. He was a proud grandfather to Michael and Nicholas Ververis, Salvatore, Christina, Alfredo, Joey, and Miranda Pizzuto, and a great grandfather to Cameron, Carmelo, and Danelo.
He was was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Maria Concetta Pizzuto (Carta) his brothers Luigi and Mario Pizzuto, and sister Angelina and Milardo.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alfredo's memory may be made to St. Sebastian Church, Middletown, CT.
Friends and family can pay their respects at Funeral mass June 16, 2023, 10am at St. Sebastian Church. The burial will be at the convenience of the family.
