Ann (Petrofsky) Huffstetler, 93, of Haddam, wife of the late Charles F. Huffstetler, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. She was born March 18th, 1931 in Middletown, daughter of the late Henry M. and Josephine (Wilson) Petrofsky. Ann was the first state certified Town Clerk in Haddam. She was first elected Town Clerk in 1982 and served the community and residents for over 30 years. She was an active member of the Haddam Democratic Town Committee, the Haddam Red Hat Society and VFW Auxiliary. Ann loved playing cards (Setback) with her friends at the Haddam Senior Center as well as being an avid knitter who donated her finished products to various charitable organizations. Ann is survived by her children, LCDR Laura H Guth, USCG (Ret) of Port Townsend, WA, Joyce Ley of Union, SC, Michael Huffstetler of Clinton, William Huffstetler of Haddam; grandchildren, Daniel Ley, Erik Huffstetler, Dillon Marshall, Kira Guth and 1LT Erin Guth, USAF; great-grandchildren, Dexter, Raffie and Kia Huffstetler, and Sean Marshall; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Charles, siblings Helen Valeski, Raymond and Alfred Petrofsky, and son in-law Robert Ley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (Feb. 22nd) at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial in the State Veterans' Cemetery will be held in the spring. Calling hours will be held on Friday (Feb. 21st) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home.
