BERTHA DURAN Obituary

DURAN, BERTHA STRONESKI Bertha Stroneski Duran, 95, of 205 Blue Ridge Drive, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Lila Doyle Nursing Home in Seneca. Born in New London, Connecticut she was the widow of Eloy A. Duran and a daughter of the late Charles and Helen Snoesky Stronesky. She worked in manufacturing prior to retirement and was of the Catholic faith. Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Jones of Clemson, three grandchildren, Kathryn Whitehurst (Trey), Neal and Douglas Jones; three great grandchildren, Spencer and Daniel Whitehurst, and Shayne Jones; a niece, Linda Scacciaferro, and two nephews, Vance and Bryce Stronesky. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Eggleson, two brothers, Joseph and John Stroneski, and two grandchildren, Steven and Karen Jones. The family will have services and burial at a later date in Connecticut. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105. Memorial messages may be sent to the family by visiting www.libertymortuary.com. Liberty Mortuary is handling arrangements.

God Bless Bertha! Such a wonderful person and Aunt. She will be missed, but remain in my thoughts always. My condolences to our family for this loss. May you join Uncle Eloy and your brothers and sister in peace. We love you!
