Deepest sympathy to Kathy, Katie and Evan. Fred was such an amazing man. He always was calm, cool, and collective in difficult situations at RVH. He was a great person to work with.
I'm so glad you and Kathy stopped by to have a hotdog and we were able to chat!! You will be deeply missed.

In 1956 our family moved to the South Farms district of Middletown onto the same block as Freddy (as we called him in those days). Freddy's sincere, cheerful, outgoing disposition made him a well known favorite among kids and parents alike. My own mother often recounted how on moving into our 'new' neighborhood, one of the first people she encountered was a young Freddy who even at the tender age of 6, acting as ambassador for the neighborhood, demonstrated poise beyond his years proudly declaring his presence and politely introducing himself as 'Frederick Henry Miller'.
I remember Freddy selling night crawlers and later acquiring one the first Datsun 240 Z's. He being a few years my senior, we were never close, however we had a common interest in singing and playing guitar and thusly shared our experience on a couple of occasions.
Bottom line, he was the salt of the earth. My heart and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. Rest in Peace Frederick Henry Miller.

My condolences to Fred's family. I was a classmate of Fred's at Xavier ( class of 1967). He truly was an outstanding person. His smile and his laugh stand out to me even after all these years. May he rest in peace.

No finer a person created by God! Kind, warm, gentle, giving and a remarkable sense of humor. Went out of his way to not be offensive or hurt another’s feelings. A good good friend for forty years. If he ain’t in Heaven none of us are getting in, especially me! (I did ask Fred to put in a good word for me with St Peter at the Pearly Gates.! Looking away so as not to be offensive, he sardonically replied, Sure!

Xavier High School extends sincere condolences to the Miller family. Fred, Class of 1967, the first graduating class, was always the first to register to play golf at the annual Xavier Alumni Golf Classic. We barely got it posted before he knocked on our door with a check in hand. We will miss him. Fred, his family, and golf partners are in the prayers of this Xaverian community.

Fred was my friend since kindergarten at Farm Hill School. We were born a day apart. A caring, compassionate man, he lived life to its fullest. He was so rich in grace, feeling, humor, family and friendships. My deep condolences to his family. I´ll miss him a lot.

Fred and I were members of the first graduating class from Xavier High School in 1967. He was a good man, 100% genuine from top to bottom. Fred was kind, considerate, funny, and always pleasant to speak with.
None of us 1967'ers changed the course of world history dramatically. Fred lived his life simply and treated people with kindness and respect - whether they deserved either or both.
At the 50th reunion of our class in 2017, Fred signed my XHS yearbook: "Fran, still standing after fifty years. Peace, Fred Miller." Several other Xavier classmates helped me to become a better person - and some did not. Fred was in the first category.
Fred, and all members of his extended family, are in my prayers. Thank you for being my friend, Frederick Henry Miller.
