John Aiken Obituary

John Aiken, Jr.
John "Jap" Aiken, Jr., 78 of Cromwell, Connecticut passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Middlesex Hospital. John was born in Georgetown, South Carolina and was the son of the late Johnny and Minnie (Lewis) Aiken. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and received an Honorable discharge. John fought in the Vietnam War. As a Marine Corps Veteran, John was also stationed in the Dominican Republic. John leaves behind a son, two brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 8th at 11:30 a.m. at Cross Street A.M.E. Zion Church with the Reverend Robin Anderson officiating. John's burial will follow at the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown where full military honors will be accorded. Calling hours will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Cross Street A.M.E. Zion Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to Cross Street AME Zion Church, 440 West Street, Middletown, CT 06457. Messages of condolences may be sent to the family at www.doolittlefuneralservice.com. Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown, CT is managing the arrangements.

Oh my I haven't seen or heard of johnny since central school when we were in 5 th grade I had drawn his name to by a Christmas gift for. I remember his sister Janie too .so sorry to see this. I doubt if he would remember me but I remember him. My condolences to his family.good man Rest In Peace Johnny.
