Paul Dolce Obituary

Paul M. Dolce
Paul Manfred Dolce, 84, of Haddam, beloved husband of Lorri (Nosal) Dolce, died Monday, January 6, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. He was born in New Haven, the son of the late Victor and Mary (Zoccano) Dolce. He grew up in Hartford attending primary school at the Austin School in West Hartford and proudly attended the Kingswood School (now Kingswood Oxford) in West Hartford. He continued to pursue college at both Trinity College in Hartford, CT and Saint Michael's College in Winooski, VT. Paul was an IT Supervisor with Aetna Life and Casualty in the Commercial Systems Department. He then obtained his real estate broker's license and established the Cornerstone Country Properties business out of Higganum, CT. From there he became a supervisor with the Ledyard Post Office. Paul was dedicated to providing for his family and worked full-time well into his 70's. He refused to fully retire for many additional years. Paul's wit and caring personality led him to many valuable friendships along the way, at work, at Starbucks, his mechanic shop, on vacations, and more. He loved to ski and frequented Bolton Valley, VT where he taught Leianna to ski. He also enjoyed the ocean and cherished his trips to Rocky Neck and Hammonasset with Angela and to Ogunquit, ME with Leianna and Lorri. He took great pride in his cars from his Malibu SS, Austin Healy I, to his current red 1987 Nissan 300zx Turbo taking many rides with the T-top open. He loved music rolling into the Haddam driveway blasting French opera sharing a love of the Moody Blues with Angela enjoying concerts together. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Angela Dolce Wagner (Manchester) and Leianna Dolce (Meriden); sister, Valerie Keegan (Port Orange, FL); and nephews Jay Keegan (Port Orange, FL) and Jaime Dolce (Hartford). He was predeceased by his brother, Richad Dolce and niece Dawn Dolce. His Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday (Jan. 15th) at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 48 Middlesex Ave., Chester. Burial will be at the convenience of his family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday (Jan. 14th) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send memorial contributions to Danbury Animal Welfare Society, where his favorite puppy Lacy was adopted from or your charity of preference. Lorri & Leianna,

We were so deeply saddened to hear of Paul´s passing. He played a huge role in where I am today, and I´ll always be grateful for that.

Paul was truly one of a kind. Whether it was his Starbucks obsession, his pushups on the skid in the Post Office(which made the rest of us feel lazy), his non-approved footwear for the workroom floor(Teva sandals) or his love for fresh bread, he never acted his age-in the best way possible. He was a kid at heart, full of energy and humor, and he always brought that spark wherever he went.

He loved you both SO VERY MUCH and forever glowed when he would talk of Leianna´s accomplishments. Please know you´re in our thoughts during this tough time. I hope the countless laughs and stories he left behind bring you some comfort in the days ahead.

With love and sympathy,
Danette and John
