Rosemarie Vinci passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025 surrounded by family, at the age of 92. Born in Middletown on August 1st, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Salemi) Vinci. Rosemarie started her career as a telephone operator and later worked for many years as a drafter for Connecticut Light and Power in Newington and then the Millstone Power Plant in Waterford. Rose was loved by many friends and family over the years. She was an avid traveler who loved taking long drives, the theatre, following UConn Women's Basketball and going out to breakfast daily. With her generous spirit, she supported various charities. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She faithfully attended school events, concerts, baseball games and graduations of her nieces and nephews. Rosemarie is survived by her sister Elena Vinci of Middletown as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Sebastian (Mike) and Alice, Salvatore and Jeanette, John and Steffie, Nicholas and Carmen, Joseph and Cecile, and Louis and Athie Vinci; and a sister, Sebastiana (Anna) Rousseau and brother in law, Armond. Family and friends may call on Saturday, November 15th from 9:30-10:30 at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Sebastian Church. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, 75 Meriden Rd., Middlefield. Those who wish to make memorial contributions may send them to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the Diabetes Association.
