Sandra Smoloski Obituary
Sandra Smoloski, 86, of Middletown, wife of Robert "Smokey" Smoloski, died Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at her home. She was born in Middletown, daughter of the late Robert and Margarette (Mauley) Murphy. Sandra worked at Bradlees, Stop & Shop and later for Safeway Products. She enjoyed spending time in St. Petersburg, FL and with all of her children. Sandra is survived by her husband, Robert, daughters, Debra Smoloski and Gail Heil (Jim); sister, Patricia Riiska; grandchildren, Dennis Harvey (Amanda), Jimmy Heil (Eliza), Robbie Heil (Lindsey); great-grandchildren, Jade (Nick) and Joey Harvey; great-great grandchild, Payton Pollock. She was predeceased by her sisters, Roberta Hennessy, Eileen McInereny and Lucille Kendall. Her family would like to give special thanks to Apple Rehab of Middletown, Wadsworth Glen, the visiting nurses and staff and all of her doctors. Smokey & Family,,
I was so sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. The best memories that bring a smile to my face, are the times she sat in the stands at the softball field and let the umpire know just what she thought of his calls, or the players who managed to score against Smokey's team. Gosh she gave them a run for their money! When the house next door to you was for sale,my husband and I almost made that purchase, however we decided on Florida. It was such a great surprise when you came out to meet us that day in the driveway , not knowing who you were greeting after all these years. ~May The Gods Share Their Graces On You & Your Family~ during this difficult time..
