Died: Jan. 31, 2015

Nathaniel R. Cain, 28, of Sycamore, died Saturday, January 31, 2015, surrounded by his family.

Nathan was born June 15, 1986, in Sycamore, Illinois, the son of Christine Cain.

Nathan was a participant in the Opportunity House Development Training Program. He was a member of the Holijay's Camping Club; and a collector of Volks Wagon Beetle Models. Nathan loved to travel, having made several special trips with his mother to Canada and the east coast. He loved electronics and watching The Duke's of Hazard and Dr. Who on television. Most of all Nathan enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by, his mother, Christine; his grandparents, Dan and Ruth Cain; many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by, his maternal great- grandparents; three great-uncles; one great-aunt; and three cousins.

The memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb with Bishop Mark Malley of Sycamore Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date. Cremation is by Anderson Funeral Home Crematory. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Nathaniel R. Cain Memorial Fund, for the Opportunity House or Kishwaukee Hospice, sent to the Cain Family in care of Anderson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 605, 2011 South Fourth Street, DeKalb, IL 60115.

Chris, Ruth, and Dan- Someday we all will greet, love, and welcome open arms from Nathan. He was a very special guy to all of us. Nathan- Thanks for giving me your special sign for my name. I'll always remember and cherish it. And other great precious and enjoyable memories. Special when you and I made our friend Patti and all of our classmates laugh. I'm glad we became great best friends through the years. And work with you too. I know you bhated the windy days but knowing you. You would be throwing a snow ball at me and laugh. High fives and love and hugs to you, my best buddy. I will always cherish and treasure those precious memories of you in my heart. Someday we all see you again with laughing, love, and hugs. Of course you will welcome all of us with open arms. Thanks for everything and the great times together. You'll always be my best buddy and guy in my heart. I won't ever forget you. High fives Nathan always. Chris, Ruth, and Dan- We all are so blessed to have those special times and memories of Nathan. He was one of a kind guy. We all see him someday again.
