Josephine Simione

Josephine A. Simione MILFORD Josephine A. Simione, 96, of Milford, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, at the Milford Regional Medical Center. She was born in Casalvecchio, Italy, daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria (Vignone) Simione, and moved to Milford in 1920. She was educated in the Milford schools. She was employed for many years at the former Derman Shoe Co. in Milford, where she was employed as stitcher. Mrs. Simione was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. She is survived by her devoted sister, Constance Viscone of Milford; one niece, Janice and her husband, Ted Brothers, of Milford; one nephew, Philip and his wife, Regina Viscone, of Milford. She was predeceased by her brother, Francesco Simione. The funeral will be held Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 9 a.m., from Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, at 10 a.m., in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery on Cedar St. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, 4 to 7 p.m. Please visit us at www.consigliruggeriofuneralhome.com
