Elizabeth McIntyre Obituary

Elizabeth (Betty) McIntyre
11/13/2023
She was born May 24, 1937, to Edna and Horace Beebe in New London, CT. She married Milton McIntyre on October 13, 1957, and were together for 37 years and resided in Milford, CT, Betty and Milt were very active in The First United Church of Christ where they worked with the youth group, taught Sunday school and were in the choir.
They moved to Dublin, NH in 1982 where Betty found her dream job at Dublin Public Library and grew her career there to Library Director. As an avid reader this was a perfect job for Betty. In Dublin Betty was a member of the Dublin Community Church where she spent many years volunteering for the rummage sale and teaching Sunday school. In addition, she established the Milt McIntyre Memorial Fund for Music.
She was predeceased by her husband Milton McIntyre, her parents, two brothers James Beebe and Kenneth Beebe. She is survived by her sister Jeanne Bearor; and brother Alan Beebe; and her children Patrick (Lisa Sanders), Michael (Len Yanavich) and Judith (Desiree Roff), and her five grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Per her request there will be no services. Memorial contributions can be made KC Pet Rescue or Dublin Community Church Milt McIntyre Memorial Fund for Music.

I will remember Betty for her devotion to her family, her animals, her church and the Dublin Public Library.

All I had to do was mention that I was interested in reading a newly released book and within days I would receive a call from her saying that the book was at the library desk just waiting to be picked up.

She and Milton were a good pair and the support of the music program at the Dublin Community Church will be an enduring legacy.
