So sorry to learn of Manny's passing. He and his family lived in the home owned by my grandparents in Mount Vernon. He remained a dear and committed friend to my parents, who moved to North Carolina. I will always remember about the year 2000, when I "found" Manny after many years - re-introducing him to my dad. I went to his office, and he was so warm and kind. The Ellis Island tour he gave me and my parents not long after will always be cherished.

It is with great sadness, that I take the time to write this note regarding the passing of newspaperman Manny Strumpf. Growing up in Milford, Manny was a media professional I got to know. I respected his work and when I was trying to break into the business. Always positive, and friendly. A gentleman's gentleman who knew a good story. Rest in peace.
