Sandra Lockwood Triffin

Sandra Lockwood Triffin, age 65, of New Haven and formerly a resident of Milford, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 18, 2014

Born in Bridgeport on November 8, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Robert and Muriel Doehrer Lockwood

Sandra was a social worker and taught at the University of Connecticut and during her spare time, enjoyed travelling and spending time at the beach with her beloved children and grandchildren An avid swimmer and lifelong student, Sandra also loved her quiet time reading

Loving mother, grandmother and sister, Sandra will be remembered for her love of family and friends

She is survived by her children; Tania Lockwood Tyrrell (Wesley) and Lao Eric Triffin (Catherine); her cherished and loving grandchildren, Trenton Chapman and Cannon Tyrrell and her brother, Clifford Lance Lockwood; her former husband of 32 years, Eric Triffin, father to Lao Eric Triffin and Matthew Mukwawaya, father to Sandra's eldest child, Tania Lockwood Tyrrell; and many loving cousins

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the First United Church of Christ Congregational, 34 West Main St, Milford, CT 06460  Family and Friends may call prior to the service, June 26th from 10 am to 12 pm at the Cody -White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT Burial will be private
