I heard Captain Coffee speak at an IBM conference and could not have been more impressed by his courage and commanding presence. I learned so much from his presentation. And all he did was speak. RIP sir.

I too have the bracelet for him. I recently found it in a jewelry box. A true hero. I will try to find if anyone in the family would like.

I will always remember wearing a bracelet that said: Gerald Coffee POW. What a surprise when Ricks cousin Susan married him. I only wish I still had the bracelet to give to Jerry. God blessed you Jerry

He has been a source of great courage to me whenever I was depressed. I wish I had met him. I am one of his admirers from India.

Through your service to our country, you Sir, remain as a shining example of the word American Patriot! I know the cycle of life claims us all, in time, but you'll always remain as a "living treasure" to this nation. I'm sincerely appreciative that you and yours allowed Hawaii to envelope your special soul and join together in your eventual healing, Malama Pono!

Aloha Susan,
America lost a great patriot and you lost a terrific husband. Faredah and I and Johanna send us our deepest sympathies and condolences.
Aloha and blessings,

Gene Ward

ps I was really hoping Jerry would be serving in the State Legislature with us. Now he'll be in the Parliament of Heaven I am sure - if there is such a governing body for leaders like Jerry.
