Margarito Adonice Silva

1943 - 2023

Margarito Adonice Silva (Nie Archuleta), age 79, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, peacefully with his family by his side.

He was born on October 6, 1943, to Trinidad B. Silva and Delfina Lucero Silva in El Rito, New Mexico. After graduating from Fruita Monument High School in 1960, he went on to join the United States Navy. He was sent to Da Nang, Vietnam where he was in battle and came back home with a purple heart. This would be his most proud accomplishment during his time in the service.
Adonice was preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad, and Delfina Silva; adoptive parents, Ramon and Flora Archuleta; brothers, Joel, and Oliver Archuleta; and beloved sister, Mary Valdez.
He is survived by his son, Roy Silva (Michelle) and his three daughters, LeAnn, Korena, and Carissa; daughter, Lori Gallegos (John) with her four kids, Aubree Silva , Andrew Gonzalez, Anthony Gonzalez (Gisselle), and Adonice Silva Jr. ;his beloved Brielle, Nickie, and 18 other grandchildren & great-grand kids; He is also survived by his brothers, Bob, Trinidad (Debbie), Richard (Diane), and Leon (Kay), and his sisters, Angie (Freddie), Bertha (Donald), and Priscilla; and numerous nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
