Janice Dorr Obituary
Niiwagahboequay, Janice was born on December 26, 1967, in Vineland, MN, and grew up in Minneapolis, where she spent her entire life. She was united in marriage to Everett Bigbear, with whom she shared over 43 years of love and partnership. Janice had a creative spirit and enjoyed crafting, especially Native beadwork. She was a proud collector of unique knick-knacks and always found joy in the little treasures of life. Music was a constant in her world, and she loved welcoming friends and family into her home-visits filled with laughter, conversation, and her unmistakable warmth. Known for her strong will and fierce honesty, Janice was never afraid to speak her mind or stand up for what she believed in. She had a heart that loved deeply and a personality that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Janice is survived by husband, Everett Bigbear of Minneapolis, MN; children, Janice (Jose) Gonzalez of Isle, MN, Skyler Dorr of Minneapolis, MN, Andrea Dorr of Minneapolis, MN, Everett Bigbear Jr of Minneapolis, MN, Adrian "AJ" Dorr of Minneapolis, MN, Eva Bigbear of Minneapolis, MN; Glenda Landon of Minneapolis, MN, Wanda Navarro of Minneapolis, MN; 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by parents, George and Genevieve Dorr; sisters, Marina Dorr, Faith Dorr and Bonnie Dorr; twin brother, James Dorr; brothers, Ronald Dorr and Randolph Dorr; daughters, Melissa Dorr and Jennifer Bigbear.
