Laurie J. Bonneville

1956 - 2025

Laurie Jean Bonneville passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, March 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Raised in Osseo, MN, Laurie graduated with the class of 1975. She was a talented athlete and musician, earning accolades as a high school doubles tennis champion and expressing her creativity through guitar and songwriting.

After completing cosmetology school, Laurie married and settled in Andover, MN, where she owned and operated "Laurie's Hair Care," a beloved local beauty shop. In 2002, she fulfilled a dream by moving to a beautiful lake home in Garrison, MN. She continued her career as an office manager at two Brainerd-area dental practices until her retirement in 2015. Laurie had a zest for life and a passion for travel, exploring destinations from the rugged beauty of Alaska to the vibrant landscapes of Panama. Retirement brought her cherished summers at the lake, where she created lasting memories with her granddaughter, Holly. Laurie will be remembered as a fiercely loyal friend, devoted daughter, loving sister, caring mother, and dedicated grandmother. Her warmth, strength, and kindness touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her mother, Ardell Bergstrom; sister, Linda Rau (Lenny); daughter, Gina Moore (Sam); and her granddaughter and light of her life, Holly. She also leaves behind many other beloved relatives and friends. Laurie was preceded in death by her father, Gayle Bergstrom; brother, Gary Bergstrom; and husband, Daniel A. Bonneville.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on March 15, 2025, at the Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center in Brainerd (218-829-3581), with visitation two hours prior. A luncheon will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
