Robert "Bob" Larson completed his earthly journey on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, with family by his side.
He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Anita Larson.
He is survived by his daughter Geri (Bob) Zasmeta; his sons Robert Jr. (Cheryl) Larson, Donald (Corrine) Larson, Randy (Lenore) Larson, David (Lola) Larson; and his daughter Linda (Mike) Carlson, all of Isle. He is also survived by his many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and a special friend, Loretta.
Bob was born in Isle, Minnesota in 1932 to George and Mary Larson, the youngest of nine children. He met and married Anita Salverda of McGrath, and together they raised six children filled with love, laughter, and plenty of adventures.
Bob worked for Cold Spring Granite Company for 45 years, traveling across the country for work though he famously never stepped foot on an airplane. He loved being outdoors, especially when hunting or fishing, and was known for his passion for collecting "junk," which he enjoyed reselling at flea markets. Bob was a master negotiator who always found a way to make a deal and help someone out in the process.
If something needed fixing, Bob was the one to call. He carried a quiet strength and deep resilience, always reminding others to never let life get you down and to remember that someone else might have it worse so don't complain.
Above all, Bob loved his family deeply. He took pride in having them close by, often surrounded by visits, laughter, and stories that filled his home. The number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren he was blessed with was fast approaching one hundred. A legacy as full and abundant as the life he lived.
Even in his final days, Bob's kindness, gratitude, and pride shone through. He never wanted to inconvenience anyone, even if it meant putting himself second a true testament to his selfless heart.
Bob's legacy will forever live on in the strength, love, and laughter of his family. Though he has gone home to be with Anita, his spirit will remain in every fish caught, every hunting season shared, every deal made at a flea market, and every story told around the table. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wahkon with Fr. Jerry Shick, OSC officiating. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 A.M. at the church.
