Kathy Hanlon Obituary

Kathy (Storlie) Hanlon Milton, WI - Kathy Kay Hanlon (Storlie), age 68, of Milton, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on May 1 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville, Wisconsin. Kathy was born December 21, 1956, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, to Clifford and Mary Lou (Harding) Storlie. Kathy graduated from Milton High School in 1975. She spent most of her life working as a flex benefits administrator in the insurance industry. She also enjoyed operating her own catering business.

Later in life, Kathy met her true love and best friend, Tom Hanlon. They were married on December 21, 2019. Just last summer, Tom and Kathy traveled to California as it was her lifelong dream to see the Redwoods. Her hobbies included antiquing, flea markets, rummage sales, and shopping. Kathy also loved to play card games, and her favorite was euchre. What brought her the most joy was helping her husband with their garden and going out for Friday night fish fries. Her generous spirit and warm heart will be deeply missed.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Tom, her daughter, Rebecca Hookstead, and her grandson, Ethan, of Janesville, WI; stepdaughters, Jennifer Wilbanks, Florida, and Megan Hanlon, Janesville, WI, step grandchildren Wyatt, Dylan, Lilly, and Olivia. She is further survived by her mother-in-law, Margie Hanlon, of Milton, WI, sisters, Connie (Rocky) Jarvis of Hixton, WI, Carol (Larry) Kennedy of Janesville, WI, brother, Charles (Chuck) Storlie, of Columbia Heights, MN, sister-in-law, Patty Storlie, brothers-in-law, James (Kay) Hanlon, Robert (Judy) Hanlon, and Mike Hanlon, sister-in-law, Rose (Joe) Wulff all of Milton, WI, numerous nieces, nephews, and three special friends, Pamela Prange, Anita Swaim, and Shirley Zenner.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was predeceased by her father-in-law, Bernard J. Hanlon, brothers Clifford, Jr. and Carl, Shirley Sidwell (sister by heart), and stepson, Tommy Hanlon.

There will be a Celebration of Life on May 10, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at The Gathering Place, 715 Campus St., Milton, WI. A light dinner will be served.
