To Jim's Family and Friends,
I was on vacation and unable to attend Jim's funeral last Saturday. I really would have liked to be there. Jim was a great friend over the years and he let me stay in his condo many, many times when I was visiting Dayton. He was great at organizing CAC and other get-togethers at Marion's Pizza over the yeats.
May he rest in great peace after his years of suffering and enjoy the presence of God for whom he was always striving.
And may all of you be comforted in this time of loss, and continue on with your lives as Jim would have wanted.

My condolences to all the Boeckman brothers and sisters. I thought of Jim often; he made my retirement an easy adjustment when he started the card games at the American Legion in Kettering. Those were fun times! I will pray for Jim often, especially during my Friday hour in Chapel before the Blessed Sacrament (as I have been doing these last 2 years)!

To the family of Jim Boeckman,
I knew Jim from the Dayton Catholic Alumni Club. Whether at our weekly softball and volleyball games, or at other club functions, Jim was a great addition to our club. He could always offer an insightful comment about current events, or remember interesting facts and figures from years past. He had good things to say about all people and his positive attitude was infectious. He will be missed.
Sincerely C.J. Vehorn

Sorry to hear about Jim. He was a friend going back to the grade school mass server days when he was my partner for a few years.
Over the years since, we would catch up with each other occasionally and talk about some of the strangest memories..... How he was the best tree artist in the 4th grade..... How perceptive he was at judging people and discussing it with them in ways they could understand and not feel threatened..... And a life lesson when he almost convinced me to sub and eventually take over his paper route. Delivering 55 papers one evening during a wet, cold winter snowstorm changed the course of my thinking.....
RIP my friend.
