Ruth Scheidweiler Obituary

SCHEIDWEILER, Ruth E.
Age 77, of Tipp City, found peace in the arms of her heavenly father on Monday, March 12th, 2018. Ruth was born on August 25, 1940 in Piqua, Ohio and is preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Coral (nee Siebring) Friemering, step-mother Bertha Friemering, her brother Dale, and sister Marcia.
Ruth is survived by her loving and caring husband of 54 years, Lee, and their children Lisa Auvil (John) of Greensburg, Indiana, Susan Klein of Bartlett, Illinois, and Jenny Niekamp (Tony) of Vandalia, Ohio.

Devoted, attentive, patient, and giving, Ruth was the heart of the family and is also survived by grandchildren Nicole (Eric) Karlen of Rockford, Illinois; Caitlin Auvil of Denver, Colorado; Olivia (Collin) Morgan of Vandalia, Ohio; Brittney Klein of Prague, Czech Republic; Barrett Niekamp of Vandalia, Ohio; Nathan Klein of Deerfield, Illinois; Bailey Niekamp of Cincinnati, Ohio and great-grandchildren Ben, Sam, and Connor Karlen of Rockford, Illinois. Ruth also had a very special relationship with all of her nieces and nephews, from Alaska to Florida.

Ruth graduated from St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing in 1961, worked at Good Samaritan Hospital for many years, and retired from Mercy Siena Woods Nursing Home in 1991. Sewing and quilting was a special gift of Ruth's, and she shared the product of her love with family, friends, and the community.

Ruth's remains have been donated to the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Anatomical Gift Program for educational purposes. To share in the celebration of her life, a memorial gathering will begin at 2pm on Friday, March 16 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipp City, followed by mass at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Children's Medical Center in Dayton, NICU unit.
