David Leebold Obituary

David F. Leebold, 70, of Dallas City, Ill., died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, peacefully at his home.
He was born July 22, 1954, in La Harpe, the son of Millard and Viola (Jones) Leebold.
He is survived by his brother: Gary (Vera) Leebold, his nephew: Jamie Leebold all of Dallas City, niece: Amy (Jared) Hill, and great-niece Grace Hill all of Nauvoo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother: Dennis Leebold.
David had cerebral palsy, but he never let it hold him back. He milked cows one handed and he was good at it. He enjoyed helping on the family farm doing chores, mowing and clearing out fence rows. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church and attended school at Ferris and Carthage graduating in 1974.
Visitation will be from 2 until 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City. The funeral service for David will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Larry Menschel officiating. Burial will be in the Harris Cemetery near Dallas City.
