David Wayne Tallman, 90, of St. Francisville, Missouri, passed away at 12:14 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, at his home.
David was born on May 17, 1933, to David and Illa (Martin) Tallman.
David is survived by three sons, David (Barbara) Tallman of Fort Madison, Mark Tallman of Montrose, and Chris (Denise Howell) Tallman of Keokuk; five grandchildren, Tasha Tallman, Jessica Tallman, Derek Tallman, Keagen Howell and Keaten Howell; four great-grandchildren, Ariana Bertelli, Axel Hummel, Lexi Hummel and Jaxon Hummel; one brother, Robert Tallman of Taylor, Missouri; two sisters, Maxine Schrader of Payson, Illinois, and Betty McFarland of Keokuk; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one stillborn daughter, two brothers, Wesley Tallman and Carl Tallman, four sisters, Alice Mahoney, Dianna Tallman, Lola Koening, and Edna Smith.
David was a factory worker for Fruehauf until he retired. He loved to mushroom hunt, tinkering around in his garage, and keeping everything organized, watching and feeding the birds and squirrels in his yard, mowing his lawn and mowing for anybody else that needed a hand.
The most enjoyment that David had was putting in a big garden and giving from his heart the harvest of produce to family and friends.
Funeral Services for David Wayne Tallman will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Kahoka. Pastor Dan Deatrick will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Frazee Cemetery, Wayland, Missouri.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Memorials contributions in memory of David Tallman are suggested to Clark County Local Cancer Fund.
