Ed Sutton, age 90, of Burlington passed away peacefully on Aug. 19, 2025, at Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.
Born in Kewanee, Illinois, he was the son of Harold and Mary Mason Sutton.
He married Lola Firch of Geneseo, Illinois on Sept. 6, 1958.
Ed attended high school in Kewanee.
He worked for Burlington Northern Truck Lines in Kewanee and Consolidated Freightways in Burlington as a truck driver.
Ed was a member of Teamsters Local 238 and Eagles Club. He also attended many sports/activities that his children and grandchildren were involved in.
He liked to fish, ride motorcycles, and watch football and basketball.
Survivors include his wife, Lola; son, Brian (Lisa) of Austin, Texas; daughter, Janelle (Tom) Brown of Burlington; brother, Loren (Morag) Sutton of Chico, California; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Per Ed's wishes, cremation has been accorded to Iowa Cremation.
No service is planned.
