Jill Annette Whitmore, 57, of East Moline, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, at Mercy One Genesis in Silvis, Illinois.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, at Schroder Mortuary, 701 1st Ave., Silvis, Illinois. A brief informal service will follow the visitation.
Jill will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Make-a-Wish.
Jill was born April 22, 1968, in Iowa City, the daughter of Jack and Sharon Denney Schoof. She married Frank Whitmore on June 10, 1990, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Burlington. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1986 and from St. Ambrose University in 1993 in Davenport.
She worked at Genesis Hospital Systems for 35 years in patient finance and as a staff accountant for 27 years.
She enjoyed riverboat excursions on the Celebration Belle with her mother and daughter-in-law, Alexus; playing Pokémon Go with her son, David; and Amateur Radio, Parks on the Air. She was a member of the River Bend Wireless Operators Club in Milan, Illinois.
Survivors include her mother, Sharon Schoof Eisenmayer of Burlington; her husband, Frank; sons, Alexander (Alexus) Whitmore of Bettendorf, and David of East Moline, Illinois; and a brother, John (Chelli) Schoof Jr. of Burlington. Also surviving are many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
Jill was preceded in death by her father, Jack; cousins Julie, Lisa, and Joann; mother-in-law, Marion; sister-in-law, Peggy; and brother-in-law, Mark.
