Kathern Lunt Obituary
Katy was born July 25, 1944, the daughter of Oliver and Annabelle (Shay) Swisher Jr. in Carthage. She graduated from Bowen High School in 1962 and later received her LPN degree from Hannibal Vocational School of Practical Nursing. Katy was united in marriage to Larry Lunt June 22, 1963, at the West Point Methodist Church. He survives. She worked as an LPN for 31 years, retiring in 2012. Katy was a faithful member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Quincy.
Katy is survived by her husband, Larry, of Quincy; her son, David (Sharon) Lunt of Quincy; daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Vermeire, of Branson, Mo., and Deborah "Debbie" (Johnny) Dame of Kirbyville, Mo.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Char Swisher of Branson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Brenda.
A Funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Quincy. Family met friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
