Marie Rose Obituary

Marie B. Rose, 73, of Warsaw, Illinois, passed away on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at her home in Warsaw.

Marie was born on Sept. 24, 1952, in Carthage, Illinois, the daughter of Mark and Mammie (Brown) Burnett.

She graduated from Warsaw High School in 1970, and on June 27, 1970, she was united in marriage with Michiel "Mike" Rose at the United Methodist Church in Warsaw. He survives.

She went on to work at Henniges Automotive in Keokuk for 35 years. Marie was a member of the Spunky Point Senior Center.

Marie is survived by her husband Mike Rose of Warsaw; her daughter Kelly Rose of Warsaw; her sister Jane Bryant of Fort Madison, Iowa; her brother Lon Bryant of Galesburg, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her son David; three sisters: Ruby, Jackie and Gloria; three brothers: Floyd, Charlie and Ron; and her in-laws Merle and Hubert Rose.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23 from 3-7 p.m., with family meeting friends from 5-7 p.m. at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw.

Memorials may be made to the Spunky Point Senior Center in Warsaw.
