Max L. Londrie

1943 - 2023

Max L. Londrie, 79, of Washington, Ill., passed away peacefully at 8:22 a.m. Sunday, March 26, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born May 15, 1943, in Keokuk, Iowa, to Kenneth Max and Helen L. Jones Londrie. He married Mary Ann Lowe in Carthage on Nov. 8, 1964. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, Shari Londrie of Metamora, Kent (Leah Bedwell) Londrie of Washington, Chris (Lynn) Londrie of Red Wing, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Cody (Tony), Dakota (Corey), Skyler (Madison), Jeremey (Jaclyn) Koll, Leena Letexier and JC Bedwell; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mickey, Gary (Marie); two sisters, Lois Bloyd, Margie Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, June, Marcia, Mitzie, Bonnie; four brothers, Joe, Randy, Wayne, Sonny; and infant sister, Maxine.
Max was a United States Army Veteran. He worked as a truck driver most of his life. After retiring in 2009 he worked at Sparkling Clean Car Wash in Washington for several years. He was a member of American Legion Post 100 in Washington. He enjoyed woodworking and was a jack of all trades. Spending time with his family was one of his greatest joys in life and he will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. His funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 31, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UnityPoint Methodist Hospice.
