Arthur W. Renander
Arthur W. Renander passed away at his home in Missoula, MT on April 25th after a long illness borne with great courage. He was 87. He was born in New York, NY. Arthur started his professional career in Republican politics in New York, while also serving as an officer in the Marine Corps reserves, an experience he was forever proud of. After his time in politics, Arthur moved on to business development and pursued opportunities in every corner of the globe, including Hawaii, Thailand, Fiji, Canada, and, ultimately, Montana. In Montana, he truly found his home and cultivated a deep desire to see Montana grow economically. In this vein, he created a World Trade Center in Montana and donated the license to The University of Montana's College of Business. He loved Montana not only for its frontier spirit, but also the outdoors. Nothing exemplified this more than his famous river trips he experienced with many friends from across the country. Throughout his life Arthur was dedicated to his family, his country, his church, education, international affairs, and politics. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Zara Renander; three children, Erik Renander, Kiki Renander, and Sonja Renander; and three grandchildren; Julia Renander, Anasara Renander, and Nora Walencikowski. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14 at 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, Missoula.
*In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to Wild Montana (Formerly Montana Wilderness Association) - www.wildmontana.org

So sad I missed chatting with Arthur over the last months. We had so many political adventures over the years and managed to keep in touch despite the geographic distances. Post Christmas I had my own medical adventures that interfered with my activities. Your family will be in my prayers. Fondly Jean McKee

Sad to learn that my longtime friend, Arthur Renander has passed away. I am in the IIOWA CHAPTER of Arthur's life. ALWAYS update, ALWAYS 'on the ball', ALWAYS working on his current 'plan'. We spent many a morning breakfast meetings at the Coralville Perkins to work on the "Plans'. I am also friends with Zara. NICEST lady!..MY condolences from myself and my wife, Michele. We visited with them MANY times at my Real Estate Office. Arthur will be 'working on new ideas and projects' 'UP THERE', forever.. God Speed to Arthur.
