Greggory Scheeler Obituary

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved brother Greggory Wayne Scheeler from cancer, at home on August 29, 2025. Greg (69) was born on April 14, 1956, to Bud and Jenny (Casavan) Scheeler in Missoula, Montana. He attended grade schools and Hellgate High School in Missoula.

In 2009 he moved to Effingham Illinois but forever longed for Montana. Greg lived an unremarkable life but had a very kind soul and was extremely thoughtful to animals and people alike. He was in charge of taking care of the horses and was very good at it. They would run to him when he called them. Although he was not a man of a lot of words, when he thought something was funny, he had an incredible, genuine laugh. Greg loved classic cars and enjoyed stock car races.

He is survived by his sisters, Michelle Scheeler Putz (Dan) and Martha Rose Rodda (Russ); nephews, Dallas Scheeler and Cory Rodda; great nephews, Jayden Scheeler and Coltin Rodda.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents Philip (Bud) Scheeler and Jenny Fry and nephew, Shelby Bud Rodda.

There will be a celebration of life and scattering in the Spring of 2026 in Missoula Montana.
