Herman Worster Obituary

Our beloved father, Herman Rolland "Rollie" Worster, 88, passed away peacefully with his three faithful children by his side on October 8, 2025, in Missoula, Montana.

Rollie was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he spent his childhood and attended high school and college. In 1960, he married the love of his life, Sally L. Carr. Rollie and Sally had three beautiful children together: Randy, Scott and Susie. Rollie briefly worked on the railroad before being drafted into the Army, serving two years honorably.

After his military service, Rollie and Sally purchased their first of many businesses, a bar in Beatrice, Nebraska. He spent his life as a proud business owner, managing a variety of successful ventures. Rollie cherished traveling, exploring the world, and, most of all, spending time with his family and friends.

Rollie's true joy in life was following his children and grandchildren's many activities. Rollie was a die-hard Cornhusker fan throughout his life until the day he passed away.

Rollie leaves behind the loving mother of his children, Sally, his children and their spouses, Randy (Randee) Worster, Scott Worster, and Susan (Patrick) Carmichael. He was a proud grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him great joy throughout his life. Taylor (Cameron) Griffin, Heath Carmichael, Stacey Fielding, Stevee (Matt) Goetz, Samantha Hollenback, Rollie Worster and Shannon Worster; great-grandchildren; Porter and Palmer Griffin, Dani and Sky Fielding, Poppy and Lake Goetz, Crew and Reggie Hollenback and many other lifelong friends.

Rollie is reunited in Heaven with his father, Herman Worster, his mother Eileen Worster and his brother, Neil Worster.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Rollie, please consider a donation to a veterans' charity of your choice to share his pride in serving our country.

"Dad, thank you for teaching us the value of hard work, the joy of laughter, and the love of family. Your spirit will live in all of us forever and always."

-Love Randy, Scott and Susie.

Rollie and Sherron showed Phil, my husband and his cousin, such a wonderful time at their beautiful home in Montana! I will always appreciate it so much! It was wonderful camping in our motorhomes together too! Sherron, since I lost Phil I know how hard it is. I hope to talk to you after you have had some time to rest and take it all in. God bless you always, Sherron. My sympathy to all the children and their familes also! God be with you in your time of sorrow!

My sympathy to Rollie's family. When they lived in Wilber, our families were good friends. We had alot of good times. I used to baby sit for Randy, Scott and Susan (yes a long time ago). May all your memories stay strong in your hearts.
