Jamie Lee Herbert
Our dear son Jamie passed away on September 14, 2021, as the result of a tragic accident.
Jamie was born in Missoula on November 25, 1986, grew up and graduated from school in Florence. He enjoyed sports, playing guitar, hiking, camping, float trips, and especially spending time with his family and friends.
Jamie married his dear wife, Cassie, on Nov 7, 2012. They had no children, but loved their animals very much.
Jamie discovered his passion for cooking at an early age, completed a program in the Culinary Arts at the Missoula College, and enjoyed working locally in the restaurant community.
Jamie will be deeply missed by his family, friends and coworkers. His sense of humor, humility, kindness and beautiful smile will never be forgotten.
We look forward to seeing Jamie and Cassie in a future paradise earth where tears, pain and death will be no more (John 5:28,29; Revelation 21:3,4). Jamie will be one of many who will be reunited with their loved ones in a world free of suffering and injustice, and they will be hungry! Jamie will have great joy in cooking for all of us!
Jamie is survived by his parents, Mark and Chris Herbert, of Florence, 3 aunts, 1 uncle and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cassie, in 2020.
The family would like to thank everyone that added to Jamie's happiness, including Bob and Sam, and others who worked side by side with him in the food industry. Sleep well Jamie, we will see you soon!
A private service and burial have taken place.

Dear Mark & Chris
Even though I rarely saw Jamie I loved to hear your stories on how he was doing and of the wonderful meals he made for you. In Hawaiian he would be known as Kolohe- a rascal ! I always remember how smart he was- and the funny antics he did when he was a small boy. Yes soon Gods Kingdom will be ruling the world and the pain of losing a loved one will be instead the welcoming back- I am so looking forward to seeing Jamie I imagine a musical festival and Jamie cooking wonderful food for all of us . My prayers and love to your family.

My memories of Jamie are wonderful he had that award winning Smile that could light up a room. He lived animals and that love transcend to his wife and family.i enjoyed my time with him and Iook forward to getting to know him better in the New World shortly. " Though death might take them away in a physical sense Love will keep them in our hearts forever. Sleep well my young friend until we meet again to welcome you home for good.

So sorry for your loss Mark and Chris. Though we didn't personally know Jamie, we know how much love you had for him and how much he will be missed. But we so look forward to getting to know him in the new system (and tasting his food).
Love you both,
Phil and Gem
