LeeAnn Hawkins Obituary

LeeAnn Hawkins

August 28, 1957 - October 10, 2025

LeeAnn Hawkins (Leora Annette Schauer), 68, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 10, 2025, surrounded peacefully by her loving family.

LeeAnn was born on August 28, 1957, in Spokane, Wash., to Joann and Leonard Schauer. Her family later moved to Missoula, Mont., where she attended Hellgate High School and met the love of her life, Thomas Hawkins. Together, they shared 53 wonderful years and built a beautiful life, raising four children. LeeAnn worked as a medical coder until retiring in 2020. In retirement, she and Thomas enjoyed camping in their R-Pod, playing cards and fine pilsner beers in their backyard, touring national parks, and spending time with their children and eight grandchildren.

LeeAnn was a bright light and vibrant soul-known for her joyful heart, unwavering faith, and radiant kindness. She never missed an opportunity to support her community, whether donating to the local food bank or providing gifts for families in need. She was the host with the most, always attending to the small details that made every gathering feel so special.

She was the queen of crafting! LeeAnn loved to sew and quilt. She created magnificent, handmade cards for every birthday, anniversary, and special occasion, devoting hours to making each one perfect and personal. She was also an avid gardener and looked forward to making raspberry jam and pickles every year. Her love language was cooking-she was always eager to provide a homemade meal or feed a houseful of people.

LeeAnn taught her children, "How do you spell love? T-I-M-E." And that's exactly how she lived her life, she was continually present for all of us. She was the most wonderful Mom and Grama (Gaga). Her light and legacy live on in her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas; their four children, Abraham Hawkins (Heather), Luke Hawkins (Shana), Jessica Loveland (Brian), and Lacey Hawkins-May (Kristopher); and by eight grandchildren, Kenneth, Cohen, Mya, Piper, Emmerson, Keaton, Andrew, and Penelope, who brought her endless joy.

"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends." (1 Corinthians 13:7-8) We love you forever, our beautiful Wife, Mom, Grama, and friend. Thank you for giving us your time.

The celebration of LeeAnn's life was held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Zootown Church, 3623 Brooks St in Missoula. LeeAnn was a proud Griz fan-Attendees honored her by wearing Griz gear.

In place of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Missoula Food Bank. Nothing would make LeeAnn happier.

Tom, we´re so sorry to hear that LeAnn is no longer with us. But good news is she is with Jesus. Our prayers are with you and the family. There was a time that LeAnn and I ( Tami) were close. We shared a lot. I will miss her.
Love, Roy and Tami
