Michaele Lucier Janacaro
MISSOULA ~ Michaele Lucier Janacaro passed away on Thursday, November 25th, 2021, after a long, hard-fought bout with cancer. She is survived by her husband Bill; her children Phoenix, Levi, Elijah, Colter, and Gianna; and her brothers Danny, Bryan, and Shane; and a bazillion friends. Her parents, Bill and Vivian Lucier, preceded her to heaven.
Michaele was a God-fearing woman, who, with the help of her husband Bill, spread that virtue to her children. She kept great faith in the Lord throughout her battle with cancer and never took the victim approach; she trusted that it was all a part of God's great plan for her life. She inspired many through her toughness as she leaned on the Lord for strength and hope. She demonstrated the qualities of a warrior imbued with tenacity! She is no longer suffering but walking side by side with Jesus in a sense of pure joy.
Michaele Renae Janacaro was born on June 14th, 1966 to William and Vivian Lucier in Frenchtown, Montana. From the beginning, Michaele brought a vibrancy to life everywhere she went through her smiling eyes and contagious laugh. She was the youngest of four children, the only girl among older brothers Danny, Bryan, and Shane. Needless to say, she was a tomboy every step of the way, participating in high school sports and women's boxing smokers. She was raised on the family ranch and attended Frenchtown Schools, graduating in 1984. Michaele married her husband and best friend, Bill, in Missoula on December 30, 1997.
Michaele was a dedicated mother, wife, and friend. She loved her family tremendously with a passion that was second to none. If you needed proof of that, all you had to do was check her Facebook page, it was littered with pictures of her children, her husband, her friends, and, of course, her dogs. Michaele was the number one fan of her children in any sport they were competing in. She loved watching her kids play sports and had a special fondness for the Big Sky Eagles, where her sons shined in sports and Gianna has just started her high school athletic career. She became a diehard Montana Grizzly Football fan when her oldest son, Levi, started playing on the team and then was joined by her youngest son, Colter. When Michaele wasn't busy running her kids around or watching them compete, she was baking and or visiting with her many friends, who she treasured immensely. She was always looking for opportunities to get together with family and friends. Also, anybody that knew Michaele knew that she threw down in the kitchen. From her delicious pies, cookies, brownies, and candies, to her famous cinnamon and caramel rolls. Michaele loved to bake goods for other people to enjoy. All of Michaele will be so very missed, but her family and friends are comforted by looking forward to seeing her again one day in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.
Michaele's service will be held on December 20th, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Christian Life Center, 3801 S Russell Street. Immediately following the service will be a reception/potluck at the Eagles Lodge just east of Rosauers on South Avenue. Michaele has been a pillar of a friend and one of the most important people in my life. I remember when we were in high school...we wore disguises and walked down Higgins Avenue, even fooling our friends. Never a dull moment with Michaele! It was so beautiful to share our faith in God as we got a little older, and it was invaluable that we helped each other out in our walk with the Lord. She was so inspiring to me on so many occasions. Another thing I will say about Michaele from the day I met her in Middle school...she was always a very real person and definitely embraced being herself! Enjoy the presence of the Lord, Michaele! God bless you all, Janacaros and Luciers as well as all who love Michaele. Comfort and peace to you all.

God bless all Janacaros and Luciers. I am not on social media, so want to take this opportunity to say that Michaele holds a deep and special place in my heart. She and I could always pick up right where we left off! We had deep conversations about God, health, family, people, places and life. We also had a lot of fun.....We definitely reminisced a lot about school adventures! Michaele was always a very real person, one of my very best friends. I miss her. I am so glad she has been such a blessing on earth to you all, Bill, Janacaro clan and all of us. I am praying for comfort, peace and love for you all. Take good care and hold God´s blessings of Michaele close to your hearts as she dwells with Him!
