Viola Cram

1927 - 2025

Viola Marguerite (McInroy) Cram, 98, of Missoula, passed away Thursday November 13, 2025 at BeeHive Homes of Missoula of natural causes.

She was born on February 21, 1927 to Mary Helen (Smith) and Arthur McInroy, in Kimberly, BC, Canada. The family moved to the United States when Viola was eight months old. They settled in a little town called Ferdic, Montana, not far from Shelby, Montana. When Viola was about two years old, they moved to Washington State and eventually ended up in the tiny gold mining town of Dixie, Idaho. There the family of six lived in a one room cabin without plumbing or water. In spite of the limitations, those were happy times for Viola. After the market fell out for gold, Viola moved to Lewiston, Idaho. There she met her lifelong partner Archie and they married on January 7, 1946. They raised a family and moved to Spokane, Washington and finally to Missoula where they spent the rest of their lives. In Missoula they joined the LDS Church and made many lifelong friends there. A major milestone in their lives was when Wanda became part of the family in 1977 at age eleven which has been a great joy.

Survivors include her sister Shirlene, son Gary (Ana), daughter Gayle (Terry), daughter Wanda (Craig), grandchildren Kristen, Kevin, Jason (Raylynn), Lacey, Lance (Lisa), Kelli (Jakob), and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by siblings Laurel, Alex and Arthur, husband Archie, daughter Melody, grandchildren Craig Jr, and Taylor.

Memorial service with be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 3201 Bancroft Street in Missoula at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2025. Viewing will be at 10:00 a.m.
