Helen Mary Urban Meeting

JACKSONVILLE, FLA - Helen Mary Urban Meeting, 93, passed away at her apartment at The Fountains at Mill Cove in Jacksonville, Florida, on Friday, April 5, attended by her family.
She was born June 23, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio, was the second daughter of George Urban and Ruth Spohn Urban, and grew up in Luckey, Ohio. She graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and was married on June 14, 1952 to James Robert Meeting, who also graduated from Ohio University. She taught elementary school in both Mansfield and Ontario Ohio for many years, especially kindergarten. In later years, Helen earned an Associate's degree of Art at Brevard Community College in Cocoa, Florida and also attended the Columbus (OH) College of Art and Design and the Penland School in North Carolina. She was the member of several genealogical societies.
Helen is survived by her children: Sally Meeting (Fred Roberts) of West Chester, PA, and Wendy Meeting Harrison (David) of Jacksonville, Florida. She leaves behind grandchildren Rianne Harrison Aylor (Kyle) and Kelly Harrison (Tyler). She has one great-granddaughter, Reese Aylor. She was predeceased by her husband James Meeting and her two sisters, Jeanne Urban Haynes and Frances Urban Norris. She has two sisters-in-law, Shirley Meeting Mitchell of Lake Mary Florida and Carol Meeting Danner of Mansfield.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Jacksonville National Cemetery
