Ronald Street Obituary

BULADEAN – Ronald Ted Street, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Feb. 12, 2025 at the age of 83.
Born on May 31, 1941 in Bakersville, Ted was a dedicated family man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ted grew up in the Buladean community, graduated from Tipton Hill High School, and attended college at Mars Hill University. As a mathematician and engineer, he started his career with Pratt & Whitney Aeronautics in Miami, Fla., then worked with Coats American as an engineer, and then finished his career as an engineer with Sauer Textiles in Charlotte. Ted was known for his unwavering kindness, his strong work ethic, and his love of family.
Ted is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lovetta Butler Street; his son, Joe Street and wife Nikki; his daughter, Rebecca Stepp and husband Jeff; his son, Russ Street and wife Karrie; and several grand- and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters June Clem and Jean Hobson, and his brother J.D. Street.
A memorial service will be held at the Middle District Church in Buladean at a date and time to be determined.
