Jan Manné Obituary

Jan Manné

In Loving Memory of

Jan C. Manné by Dorina Krusemer-Manné - wife

On Monday the 8th of January my wonderful husband and love of my life Jan Manné lost his fight with cancer. He grew his wings and flew out of my arms into a new dimension without pain and suffering. Jan was an extraordinary loving, kind hearted human being with exceptional talents.

Born in the Netherlands in 1945 he already had a very strong interest in everything America. He studied art and made a successful career as a gold and silver engraver owning a studio. As a young adult he emigrated and bought the Moab KOA which he owned for many years. He was also one of the longest employees of CNHA in the Moab Information Center where visitors from all over the world came back every season just to talk to him. He spoke 4 languages and was extremely knowledgeable about the Moab area and other beautiful travel destinations. His drawings and paintings showed intricate details of landscapes and the famous, beautiful rock formations of his beloved red rock area around Moab. The king of the Moab gym where he inspired so many young men with his workout routines and healthy lifestyle which showed in his incredible toned, muscular body. He was simply beautiful inside and out with a huge heart for people, nature and animals. Jan was simply loved by everybody who knew him and will be missed unimaginable.

He is survived by his son Jerry, Jerome Manné and family of California, Monica and Andrea Sierra and families of Moab, Maria Sierra of St. George, Marcus Delargo and fiancée of Washington State.

So sorry for ur loss. The first time I met Jan I was a teenager, I would go visit Maria and her sister- at the KOA - he always had a smile and he was always so kind and willing to help in any way.

No one was more knowledgeable or more fun to work with than Jan. Great artist, great friend! Thanks for so many wonderful memories.
Lots of love to you all, who feel his passing.
