Louise Tyler
1934 ~ 2026
It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Lovie
Louise Tyler, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this world peacefully in her sleep on March 23, 2026, at the age of 91. Louise, as she was an affectionately known, was surrounded by her loving family at the Moab Care Center, where she spent her final days enveloped in warmth and care.
Born on September 21, 1934, in the charming town of
Richland Springs, Texas, Lovie Louise was the cherished daughter of Earnest Ashley Blackstock and Dovie Alberta Hinsley. Her early years were marked by the gentle embrace of family and community; values she carried with her throughout her life.
Louise was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John A. Tyler Sr., with whom she shared 28 joyful years of marriage. Their love was a testament to partnership, adventure, and unwavering support. Together, they reveled in the joys of family gatherings, took to the skies in their plane, and embarked on countless journeys in their camper, creating a tapestry of memories that will forever be cherished by those who knew them.
A dedicated and loving mother, Louise was predeceased by her brother, Melvin Blackstock, her daughter, Carol Ann O'Donnal, and stepdaughters Kathy Hixson and Michelle Harper.
She is survived by her sons, John C. O'Donnal and Don E. O'Donnal, and stepson John A. Tyler, who were the pillars of her life. Her daughters-in-law, Sandra O'Donnal and Wendi O'Donnal, were treasured as her own, and her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Zac Zepeda, Shawn O'Donnal, Melissa Wiggins, Kjerstine Pederson, Jennifer O'Donnal, Shane O'Donnal, Caitlin Pederson, Crystal Honour, Patrick O'Donnal, Marv Harper, Dino Harper, Nichole Hixson and many great grandchildren.
Louise's career was as vibrant as her spirit, as she spent her professional life crafting beautiful belts and apparel. Her artistic touch and keen eye for beauty left an indelible mark on those who wore her creations. In her later years, she could often be found at the Grand Center, where she embraced exercise classes and the companionship of dear friends. Her laughter and warmth were a balm to all who knew her.
Louise was a woman of extraordinary kindness and grace. Known for her generous spirit, she was always ready to over a helping hand, a word of encouragement, or simply a listening ear. Her most cherished moments were those spent in the company of her family, whether it was a backyard barbecue, a hunting trip where she preferred the comfort of camp, or thrilling adventures at amusement parks with her grandchildren. Her smile was a beacon of joy and contentment.
Her family will miss her deeply, for she was their rock, a steadfast presence in their lives.
But Louise's impact extended far beyond her family, touching the hearts of countless friends and acquaintances throughout her lifetime.
In this time of sorrow, the family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate stay at the Moab Care Center for the love and care they bestowed upon Grandma.
As we bid farewell to Louise, we celebrate a life well-lived, a life filled with love, laughter, and the enduring bonds of family. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who had the privilege to know her. May she rest in peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and forever remembered in our hearts.
