Winston Russell Stocks was born on October 22, 1957 to his parents, Clayton and Bonnie Stocks in Moab, Utah and was one of the first babies to be born in Allen Memorial Hospital. On November 18, 2024, at the age of 67, Winston left this world too soon to be with loved ones on the other side. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia, their granddaughter, Danielle Stocks, his father, Clayton Stocks and many other loved ones.

Winston was the middle child born to Clayton and Bonnie. He and his siblings Bradley and Bonnie Jean were raised in Moab, Utah. Winston loved baseball in his younger years and was a MVP Little League catcher.

Winston attended Grand County High School, where he met the love of his life Marcia Chapman. On June 25th, 1977 he married his high school sweetheart. Over the next 45 years they created a beautiful life together. They were blessed with two children, Jessica and Russell. Jessica married Trin (Norton) and have two daughters, Justice and Addison. Russell married Nicole (Williamson) and they had two children, Danielle and Billy.

At a young age, Winston found himself working alongside his dad and brother where he found his place in life on a dozer and working in the family mining business, Stocks and Sons Mining (S&S Mining). Winston was skilled at many things and there was nothing he couldn't do, but his expertise was in CAT work, heavy equipment operating, hard rock mining and mechanicing.

Winston was one of a kind, a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. His passions in life were fast cars, motorcycles, boats, basically anything with an engine, but his true love was his family. He lived a life that some could only dream about, from racing motorcycles and cars, to flying his own helicopter, living his life to the fullest. He was always up for an adventure, whether it was boating, camping, a drive on the mountain, or just hanging out at home, as long as Marcia was by his side.

He will be greatly missed, but is reunited again with his wife, Marcia.

Services will be held at the Community Church on Monday, November 25th at 10:00 am with the graveside service immediately following at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
