Edwina Strong Morrison
FAIRHOPE, AL MORRISON Edwina Strong Morrison - age 88, a native of Birmingham, and a longtime resident of Fairhope, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008. Mrs. Morrison was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Fairhope. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star and a Pink Lady at Thomas Hospital for many years. She is survived by her sons, Lum ``Sonny" Morrison, Jr. and his wife Lenora Jean of Spanish Fort, H. Joseph Morrison of Mobile, Fred B. Morrison of Fairhope, Billy E. Morrison and his wife Margaret of Fairhope; daughter, Mary Morrison Donald and her husband Billy of Fairhope; grandchildren, Kim Baker of Daphne, Ashley Roberson of Daphne, Kristi Morrison of Spanish Fort, Chris Morrison of North Carolina, Shannon Morris of Georgia, Jason Donald of Foley, great grandchildren, Ty and Erick Roberson, Grey and Wilson Morris, Brandon Donald; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Wednesday, November 19, 2008, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Thursday, November 20, 2008, at 10:00 am, with Dr. Jerry Henry officiating. I never knew Mrs. Morrison, but I met her son on his way home from the Holy Land. Any Mother that raised a son like that had to be a good Christian woman. If my children remember me the way he remembers her, I will be proud. God Bless your family.
